Triastron was founded on the belief that the future of humanity depends on harnessing nuclear technology for creation and preservation, not destruction.
Our mission is twofold: to enable the nuclear energy renaissance and to reduce the risk of global nuclear weapons proliferation and use. We believe that a new generation of advanced nuclear sensing technology is essential to achieving both.
To accomplish this, we are building the physical intelligence layer for nuclear. By combining world-class engineering talent, private capital, and the existing nuclear R&D ecosystem, we develop the hardware, software, and operational capabilities needed to make nuclear systems safer, more secure, more autonomous, and more effective.
We work alongside many of the companies building the future of nuclear energy and partner with the U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories to develop and qualify next-generation capabilities. Our work spans the commercial nuclear sector, the U.S. nuclear security enterprise, and the broader mission of securing our nuclear future.
Triastron was founded by leaders from nuclear policy, software engineering, nuclear engineering, and venture-backed technology. Our founding team includes Joan Rohlfing (former President of the Nuclear Threat Initiative and senior leader across the Department of Energy and the House Armed Services Committee), Arjun Rohlfing (technology entrepreneur and national security investor), Michael Johnson (former Anduril and Naval Reactors), and Dr. Anna Erickson (Georgia Tech professor and MIT nuclear engineering PhD). Our senior advisors include former Deputy Secretary of Energy, Dan Poneman, former NNSA Administrator, Jill Hruby, former Director of Naval Reactors, [Admiral Frank Caldwell](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_F._Caldwell_Jr.), and former Chairman of the NRC, Chris Hanson.
We are securing humanity’s nuclear future. The challenges are consequential, the standards are high, and the opportunity to make an enduring impact is real. If you are driven by mission, thrive on difficult problems, and want to work with a dynamic world-class team to shape the future of nuclear, we want to hear from you.
